About the project

Ian is a men’s clothing boutique in downtown Seattle. Their store is masculine, contemporary, and sleek, and is designed with earth tones, wood, concrete, and brushed metal. Their target audience is urban men age 28-40 who prefers clothing that is contemporary but simple, and inspired by outdoors sports wear. This is a proposed redesign and iOS app integration.

Old Website

Ian’s website is not responsive or adaptive, has very little content on it, does not include functionality to search through products by type or other parameters, and does not manage links well. I wanted to update their web presence by keeping their family of colors and photography but modernizing the design.

Since ianshop.com is primarily an e-commerce website, the redesigned website will feature large product photography, a streamlined checkout process, and a blog with posts about men’s styling tips and region specific clothing highlights.

Website Homepage

Website homepage features large lifestyle photo or new product photo, quick widgets for shopping categories and popular items, hamburger menu on both desktop and mobile, on mobile, scroll left and right to view more categories and popular items, on desktop, scroll down to see more items.

Product Showcasing

The core functionality of the site and app involves showcasing products and allowing users to search by type, brand, size, and other parameters. Users of the app can also set personal preferences in their settings and then toggle those preferences on/off in the header.

360º View

Using various interactions, users can see products in a 360º view on desktop (side scroll) or mobile (side swipe).
